Be a community - We’re all from different walks of life, backgrounds, and communities. But when you're here, you’re family. Sure, we’re committed to uniting neighbors and electing Democrats, but more than that, we’re committed to each other. We lift up and empower each other. We don’t tear down.
Be kind - Be a kind, helpful, and respectful neighbor to everybody regardless of where they’re from or what they look like. We may be the only interaction someone has with the Democratic Party here, so let’s all make it positive. A single conversation can have a big impact. . . more than we might realize at the time.
Be funny, never mean - Let’s have a good time! We enjoy sharing jokes, memes, and lighthearted malarkey. But we’re never mean to people. Bullying and threats are not okay. Everybody gets our full respect.
Be respectful - We understand people have different perspectives: Speaking in good faith, being open to feedback, and acknowledging differences is important to us. We never degrade someone to make our point. And instead of putting people on blast, we invite folks in to explain things more deeply. We take time to better understand others and what they’re saying.
Stay focused - We keep conversations on-topic, and share things relevant to our local community and its mission to unite neighbors and elect Democrats.
